The Immune Hematology Department of the “Yolyan” Center has been equipped with a new device
Safer donor blood, highly accurate and ultra-fast blood test results, and a fully automated system. The Immunohematology Department of the “Yolyan” Center has been equipped with a new device.

The new ORTHO VISION Swift automated immunohematology diagnostic device can process dozens of samples per hour and analyze the results. It also stores the test results in its built-in memory. One of its key advantages is adding more samples at any time without interrupting ongoing research work.
The system allows for a wide range of immunohematology tests, including:
- Blood ABO, Rh-Hr, and Kell blood group determination
- Determination of erythrocyte antigen systems with an extended panel (Kk, MNSs, P, Duffi, Kidd, Lewis, Lutheran)
- Detection of anti-erythrocyte antibodies (according to international standards)
- Determination of Rh system antibodies using indirect Coombs’ test
- Cross-matching reaction for blood component and bone marrow selection
- Detection of erythrocyte chimerism during transfusions and transplants
- Detection of immune antibodies in the ABO system (hemolysins)
- Blood component selection (erythrocyte mass, fresh frozen plasma, platelets)
- Direct and indirect Coombs’ test reactions
The new automated device provides the ability to conduct tests with higher quality and accuracy.
