The 9th Anniversary of the Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit at the Yeolyan Center: progress and achievement.

For nine years, patients in Armenia have had access to bone marrow transplantation within the country, eliminating the need to seek this highly specialized treatment abroad. At the same time, the Center has welcomed patients from other countries, strengthening its role as an important regional center of excellence.

Over this period, the program has achieved significant milestones, including:

  • sustained growth in transplant activity,
  • expansion of clinical indications for transplantation,
  • advancement of the allogeneic transplant program (launched with the support of the charitable foundations Cure2Children and City of Smile Charitable Foundation),
  • and broadening of international professional collaboration.

Each transplant has been performed with state support, substantially improving patient access to this complex and life-saving treatment. Over the years, hundreds of transplants have been carried out, and the total is expected to soon reach 300, continuing to provide new hope and new chances for life.
