October 10 is World Hospice and Palliative Care Day

Palliative care aims to alleviate pain and other symptoms associated with illness, provide psychological support, and help patients and their families cope with the challenges posed by serious illness.

To mark the day, Anush Sargsyan, Head of the Pediatric Palliative Care Unit at Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center, highlights palliative care’s importance and its role in improving the quality of life for patients living with serious illnesses.

Palliative care is more than medical treatment; it also involves compassion, attentive care, and preserving human dignity.
