Alpha/Beta T-Cell Depletion Now Available at the Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center
The Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center continues to expand and advance its medical services in line with international standards and clinical guidelines.
One of the advanced techniques widely used in leading healthcare systems has now been introduced at the Center: alpha/beta T-cell depletion performed alongside allogeneic bone marrow transplantation.
This procedure is used for patients under 18 undergoing haploidentical bone marrow transplantation (using a partially matched donor). The technique significantly reduces the risk of severe complications and improves transplantation outcomes.
This is a highly specialized and innovative service.
The program has been launched in partnership with MKMED. Going forward, the cost of the alpha/beta T-cell depletion procedure for patients will be fully covered by the City of Smile Charitable Foundation.
It is worth noting that the Government and the City of Smile Charitable Foundation jointly fund allogeneic bone marrow transplantation for patients up to the age of 25.
For patients over 25, the Government covers a substantial portion of the cost of allogeneic transplantation.
Autologous bone marrow transplantation, for both pediatric and adult patients, is fully funded by the Government.
