Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplantation Performed for the First Time in Armenia: The Intervention Was Successful

For the first time in Armenia, an allogeneic bone marrow transplantation has been successfully performed at the “Yeolyan” Hematology and Oncology Center. The procedure, which is conducted for hematological malignancies, was successfully completed after passing the critical 100-day period. The doctors confirmed that the complex intervention was a success, and the child’s life was saved.

Until now, every year, 6-7 children had to travel abroad to leading clinics for this costly procedure. This achievement is part of an important program by the Ministry of Health, which our center carried out with great professionalism. It also marks another significant milestone in pediatric oncology in Armenia.
