ACT for Children Delegation Visits Pediatric Department at the Yeolyan Center
Specialists of the Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center presented the visiting ACT for Children delegation with an overview of programs, services, and development priorities in pediatric oncology.
Through a series of presentations, the delegation was introduced to the structure of services, patient flow, current diagnostic and treatment pathways, as well as the capacities of nursing and multidisciplinary teams.







Both the progress and achievements already recorded, as well as clear directions for future development aimed at the continuous advancement of the system, were presented.
During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of activities implemented within the framework of the ACT for Children initiative and with the support of the City of Smile Charitable Foundation, including training programs, optimization of treatment pathways, development of data management systems, and quality improvement initiatives.
The importance of introducing a comprehensive nutrition program and further strengthening diagnostic capacities was also highlighted, combining international expertise exchange with technical support.
Members of the delegation toured the Center, becoming acquainted with the day-to-day work of the departments, the environment created for patients, as well as pharmacy and diagnostic services.
During the visit, the delegation also toured the Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit, where they were introduced to the capacities established at the Center.
