Plasma Exchange Services Now Available in Gyumri

Therapeutic plasma exchange (plasmapheresis) is now available at the Gyumri Branch of the Blood Service of the Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center.

Plasma exchange is a therapeutic procedure in which plasma is separated from the patient’s blood and removed to eliminate pathogenic substances that contribute to disease progression, while the cellular components of the blood are returned to the patient.

The procedure is used for various conditions based on a physician’s recommendation, particularly as part of the comprehensive treatment of certain hematological, neurological, autoimmune, and other diseases.

Plasma exchange can significantly enhance the effectiveness of treatment and improve the patient’s clinical condition.
