To date, 25 allogeneic transplants have been performed in Armenia

Allogeneic transplantation is one of the most complex medical procedures, during which a patient’s immune system and blood-forming cells are replaced with compatible donor cells. In cases of severe malignant blood disorders, it is often the only effective treatment option, offering the possibility of complete recovery.

Implementing such a program requires a high level of professional expertise, precise organization, and advanced technological infrastructure. Even in many economically developed countries, access to allogeneic transplantation remains limited.

Despite operating under resource constraints, the successful establishment of this program at the “Yeolyan” Hematology and Oncology Center is the result of consistent and dedicated teamwork. Today, this complex procedure is performed in Armenia, allowing patients to receive life-saving treatment in their home country without traveling abroad.

Although allogeneic transplantation is considered a high-risk procedure worldwide, our team has achieved reliable and competitive outcomes. We also successfully perform haploidentical (partially matched) transplants, which require exceptional expertise and are available in the region only in Armenia.

We remain committed to continuously advancing this program, providing every patient with a real chance for recovery. We thank you for your trust.

In the near future, we will discuss why allogeneic transplantation is considered one of the most complex medical procedures in the world.
