Marine Melik-Andreasian Participated in the Ceremonial Events Dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the National Medical Hematology Research Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation

Hematologist Marine Melik-Andreasian from the “Yeolyan” Hematology and Oncology Center participated in the ceremonial events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Medical Research Center for Hematology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Within the framework of the event, she presented, on behalf of the “Yeolyan” Center, the A.A. Bagdasarov Commemorative Medal for significant contribution to the development of hematology.

It is noteworthy that in the 1930s, through the initiative of A.A. Bagdasarov, the blood service was established in Yerevan. The Blood Transfusion Committee was created, which in 1933 became a branch of the Moscow Central Institute under the leadership of Ruben Yeolyan. This process laid the groundwork for the development of hematology in Armenia and the establishment of our Center.

During the event, Marine Melik-Andreasian also delivered a speech, presenting the current areas of activity and achievements of the “Yeolyan” Center, emphasizing their role in the national healthcare system.

For her contribution to the development and strengthening of cooperation in the field of hematology among CIS countries, she was awarded a certificate of appreciation.
