Psychosocial Service

Recognizing the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, the Psychosocial Service is an essential part of the “Yeolyan” Hematology   and Oncology Center. The service was restructured in 2019 and plays a vital role in supporting patients with oncological and hematological conditions throughout their treatment journey.

The Psychosocial Service provides comprehensive, no-cost support to patients and their families, helping them navigate the emotional, social, and educational challenges that often arise during treatment. This care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals, ensuring a holistic and patient-centered approach.”

The team’s specialists are active members of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP), with the head of the service currently serving as Co-Chair of SIOP’s Psychosocial Working Group.”
