The Laboratory of Hemostasis was established in 1968. Its primary mission is the timely and accurate detection and diagnosis of hemophilia and thrombophilia. The department is equipped with modern, state-of-the-art instruments and technologies.
Today, the Laboratory of Hemostasis serves as a reference laboratory and operates under the supervision of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH).
In 2012 and 2018, the WFH recognized the laboratory as the best in the region and awarded it official certificates for its excellence.
The work carried out by the Laboratory of Hemostasis plays a vital role in the diagnostic and monitoring processes for patients not only at the Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center, but also in other healthcare facilities, including surgical, obstetrics and gynecology, intensive care, and various other departments.

It is the only laboratory in Armenia that conducts quantitative testing of coagulation factors, including:
Factor II, V, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, and XIII.
