Adult Clinical Hematology Department

The Adult Clinical Hematology Department, established in 1947, is committed to delivering advanced, high-quality hematology services to adult patients in Armenia, by international standards.
It is the first centralized specialized department in Armenia dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of adult patients with hematologic diseases. The department stands alone in its unique integration of clinical expertise, research activities, and patient-centered care, creating an environment aligned with international standards.
Patient care is delivered by the latest international guidelines, including those from the European Hematology Association (EHA), the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), the European Leukemia Network (ELN), and other leading global organizations. The department closely collaborates with the Bone Marrow Stem Cell Transplantation Department, ensuring comprehensive care, from pre-transplant preparation to post-transplant treatment and follow-up.
A multidisciplinary approach is a core principle of the department. Consultations with specialists from various fields are organized as needed, including endocrinologists, infectious disease specialists, neurologists, psychologists, cardiologists, gastroenterologists, dentists, and others.

The department’s highly qualified medical staff has undergone advanced training in the United States, Europe, and Russia, and possesses extensive clinical experience. Our physicians are active members of leading international hematology associations, including EHA, SOHO, ERIC, ELN, and SIOG, and are regular participants in international scientific conferences and seminars.
