The “Yeolyan” Hematology and Oncology Center of the Ministry of Health of Armenia is the nation’s leading institution for the diagnosis and treatment of hematological and oncological diseases. The center provides comprehensive care for both adults and children, adhering to the latest international clinical guidelines and medical standards.
In recent years, the center has experienced significant growth, expanding its services to encompass a broad range of hematology and oncology specialties. Its greatest strength lies in its highly specialized departments, which deliver integrated, multidisciplinary care of the highest quality.
- Blood Bank (including regional branches):
As Armenia’s only national blood supply center, it is responsible for the collection, storage, and distribution of blood and its components across the country. It plays a critical role in ensuring safe and effective treatment throughout the healthcare system. - Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Center:
Provides full-scale diagnosis and treatment for children with blood disorders and cancer. It meets international standards and also offers psychosocial support to young patients and their families. - Bone Marrow Transplant Department:
Specializes in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for treating blood diseases, congenital and acquired immune deficiencies, and selected cancers in both children and adults. - Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center:
Focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of inherited and acquired bleeding and clotting disorders. - Stem Cell Laboratory:
The only facility of its kind in Armenia, it processes, cryopreserves, and stores hematopoietic stem cells collected from bone marrow and mobilized peripheral blood for clinical application.
The Yeolyan Center is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies and follows internationally recognized protocols, including:
- Targeted Therapy – Using tyrosine kinase inhibitors, Bruton’s tyrosine kinase inhibitors, monoclonal antibodies, and other innovative agents.
