Therapeutic Plasma Exchange in Myasthenia Gravis

Therapeutic plasma exchange (plasmapheresis) is a modern treatment modality in which plasma is separated from the patient’s blood and removed, helping to reduce the levels of certain pathogenic autoantibodies and other disease-associated substances circulating in the bloodstream.

Plasma exchange is used in the management of various medical conditions, including autoimmune and neurological disorders, as well as certain allergic, dermatological, hematological, and toxicological conditions, among others.
